π¬ Audience Favorite Award
Throughout the BiCONIC 2025 showcase, audience members will have the chance to vote for the film that moved, inspired, or delighted them the most. The Audience Favorite Award goes to the short that resonates deeply with our viewers β whether through laughter, tears, joy, or powerful representation.
π Best Narrative Award
This award celebrates an outstanding narrative film that showcases the heart of bi+ storytelling. Whether through humor, drama, romance, or surrealism, this award honors the creative vision and emotional depth that bring bisexual+ characters and experiences to life on screen.
Our Mission is to empower Bi+ filmmakers with a film festival that centers on the Bi+ umbrella, including bisexual, pansexual, polysexual, multisexual, fluid, omnisexual, or anyone attracted to more than one gender. The festival stages a program of independent features, short films, and digital media from Bi+ filmmakers and Bi+ content aligned with the Bi-BQ, a local Bi+ Pride event on the week before SF Pride, and Bi+ Visibility Week around September 23rd.
Our Vision aims to promote bisexual+ visibility and celebrate cinematic excellence in our community. We have two yearly screenings showcasing community-driven films to a broader LGBTQ+ audience. These screenings inspire creativity, encourage introspection, and explore bisexual identity through cinema.
The BiCONIC Bi+ Film Festival Selection Committee's main responsibility is to preview films β shorts, and other forms of digital content β and offer their input on whether they could belong in any of BiCONICβs annual programming.
