BiCONIC is proud to host a special retrospective highlighting the groundbreaking work of filmmakers April Faith Hirschman, Allegra Hirschman and Celeste Hirschman.
Their storytelling has played a vital role in Bi+ film and in shaping the conversation around sexuality, somatics, and desire in our communities.
BiCONIC SF returns on June 24, 2026 for a night of bold, joyful, and unapologetically Bi+ storytelling. Join us in San Francisco for an evening of short films and community that center Bi+, pan, fluid, and expansive identities on screen.
This year's theme is Taking Up Space!
BiCONIC SF will host a BiVisibility community event featuring a short program, a curated screening of Bi+ short films, and light refreshments. The evening of September 23rd, 2026 will include a brief welcome, film introductions, the screening, and an informal community reception.
In 2025, we are proud to honor Juba Kalamka with the Dr. Maggi Rubenstein BiCONIC Visibility Award!
Juba's decades of groundbreaking work as a spoken word artist, activist, and cultural organizer have helped expand Bi+ representation in music, media, and community spaces. His voice and vision continue to uplift and inspire generations of Bi+ people.
π In grateful appreciation of his unwavering commitment to Bi+ visibility, justice, and joy.
π Know someone who should be honored next?
The nomination form for the 2026 award will open in early 2026 β keep an eye out for the button in upcoming newsletters!

Golden Fingers is a tender, understated short film about friendship, identity, and finding the courage to be seen. As three friends sit together on a beach, they rehearse what it might sound like to come out, testing words, imagining reactions, and supporting one another through the uncertainty. With warmth and quiet humor, the film captures the vulnerability of sharing your truth and the power of having friends who help you find your voice.

Our Mission is to empower Bi+ filmmakers with a film festival that centers on the Bi+ umbrella, including bisexual, pansexual, polysexual, multisexual, fluid, omnisexual, or anyone attracted to more than one gender. The festival stages a program of independent features, short films, and digital media from Bi+ filmmakers and Bi+ content aligned with the Bi-BQ, a local Bi+ Pride event on the week before SF Pride, and Bi+ Visibility Week around September 23rd.

Our Vision aims to promote bisexual+ visibility and celebrate cinematic excellence in our community. We have two yearly screenings showcasing community-driven films to a broader LGBTQ+ audience. These screenings inspire creativity, encourage introspection, and explore bisexual identity through cinema.

The BiCONIC Bi+ Film Festival Selection Committee's main responsibility is to preview films β shorts, and other forms of digital content β and offer their input on whether they could belong in any of BiCONICβs annual programming.
